SCC: The Killian Flyer
This is a quick sketch of my O.C. (the guy in the banner) in what is supposed to be a flyer for our comic group at Square City Comics. Have I not mentioned that before? Oh yeah, check us out at www.squarecitycomics.com
To-Do List
One of the problems I have is starting too many things at once and not finishing them up. So here is my queue and stuff I MUST complete before the year is up:
• First Five Cover for Issue #2
• Square City Comics Killian Flyer
• Square City Comics Collaboration Poster feat. Xio
• The Dragon Slayer One Pager
• The CMYK Project
• Ghost Rider Commission
I know I have more but for now I'm going to focus on knocking these out. SO THE DRAWIN IS ON!!!!

The Dragon Slayer
Back in 2008, I drew the sketch below.
I never forgot it since it vividly struck an image in my brain. Of course as with everything else, it was pushed back into my obscure memory until I had uncovered that sketch under a big pile of papers. So again I was re-inspired and drew the second sketch in 2009 but it fizzled out...
Since trying to get back to drawing I remembered this one piece and has been on my to-do list for several reasons. I plan to draw it out on 11 x 17 and practice coloring it digitally. It is time to tackle my fears of drawing an entire page/story on a large format. I get overwhelmed with what angle, which perspective, and oh God, what background to draw that it freaks me out so much and I don't think I can see it through. That's just silly so time to grow some balls and just DRAW the damn thing!

New Project: CMYK
The plan for my next series is called "CMYK" in which I want to portray elements of print design in an artistic matter. In printing, CMYK mode is primarily used so for each color (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and blacK) will be personified into female figures à la Alphonse Mucha style, my favorite artist and father of Art Nouveau. Below are some sketches I did last week. Now to find some research on some of my ideas and expand on them.

Azula Sketch
I've been watching Avatar: The Last Airbender on NickToons every freaking night. I put my tv on sleeper and pass out with it on my subconscious...I love this damn show so much! I'm so excited for the new series starting up, Legend of Korra!!!
Anyways, this was just a fast sketch of Azula, my favorite villain. She's so kick ass!

Thanatos & Hypnos Sketch
Per :cesar-hernandez:'s request (on DA) here is a quick sketch of Thanatos and Hypnos, the Gods of Death and Sleep. They are also twins.
And if you didn't know, I'm a big greek/roman mythology fan. I drew my own version of the gods a while ago. I'm thinking about redoing a new series on them.
Oh this was also drawn on a hot pink sheet of paper..guess my scanner didn't like that too much.

Xio WIP
This is a co-created character between me and Edward Viscarra. Her name is Xio. This is still in it's early stages. I'm reworking on a character sheet for her. Seems like my practice is paying off. I used 8 heads for the height. Things I need to fix are her knees and feet and work on her arms and hands. Do her boobs look alright? lol.

Morrigan Studies
*Sigh* Morrigan from Darkstalkers is my favorite character from that game. She rocks! If you go back to 2001-2004 in my gallery at deviantart, you will see that I used to draw her a lot (along with Lilith).
Critique:
Sketch 1: I tried to make an interesting pose, something a little more dynamic. I attempted doing the head length thing for the figure but her head is ENORMOUS. Will work on proportions some more.
Sketch 2: Here was more figuring out the whole head count thing with the figure length. Hmm big head again? Possibly!
FINALLY!!! An Update!
Wow so my first post in this thing was waaaay back in March...Well, time to get serious. So back in the day I mainly drew chicks...past few years it has been mostly guys...so I am now having trouble drawing girls.
GOAL 1: Perfect the female body and anatomy.
This sketch was more focused on the face and expressions. Done in 15 minutes at work lol. Gotta stay awake somehow.

The Year is Twenty Ten...
For the first post I find it fitting to talk about my past, my present, and where I would like to be in the future.
Ever since I was about 5 years old, I have always grabbed paper and pencil and doodled my ideas onto it. I was somewhat of a loner, kept to myself most of the time and would shut myself in my room drawing and losing track of time. I poured all my time into it but I was shutting myself from the rest of the world.
Fast forward to my college years where I did the most growth, where I discovered who I was and finally learned to accept it and finally let people in. I became more social, I realized that I was able to let myself go and have fun with others.
And now we are here. Having graduated with a degree in graphic design and having a full time job along with a pretty large social life, I have neglected the one thing that has stuck with me since childhood. I definitely don't want to loose it. I have looked back at my drawings from 10 and 5 years ago and I am always amazed at the amount of creativity I had back than which now I seem to have none. Hopefully this doesn't mean that I have lost it kinda how Peter Pan loses his charm if he were to become an "adult".
So my hope is to rediscover and ignite the passion I once had long ago. And hopefully this blog will help serve as motivation for me to reach that goal. So far in this year I have drawn 6 drawings and it's already March...Time to get the ball rolling and so here we go!
